"Today, we're starting to roll out an updated ride services experience to make it even easier for you to book a ride directly from Google Maps, on both Android and iOS globally", shared Sara McKinley Torti, the Senior Product Manager of Google. This mode also allows users to see fare estimates and pickup times if a vehicle is available. One thing to note here is that, only Uber supports this and now, you cannot hail a Lyft ride. Now, users will see the Google map and their location, along with various Uber cars in the vicinity. Google says that users can now even track driver on the map, and connect with the driver - all within the Google Maps app. Google is adding a new Uber integration that makes it possible to get a fare estimate, book a ride, and pay without leaving the app, the company announced on its site Thursday. In addition to these, users will also be shown an option for cabs, as per last year's update.

You simply need to tap on your transportation option of choice to view a comprehensive list of ride options, as well as any special offers or promotions they may be peddling.

'Weekend warriors' can live as long as those who exercise daily
Researchers analyzed the health and possible causes of death of the participants, linking them with their exercise schedules. Still, he advised people to exercise beyond the common physical activity recommendations for "optimal health benefits".

In 2016, Lyft lost almost $600 million on its expanding operations, which include partnerships with a growing list of local ride-hail companies around the world, and hauled in $700 million in revenue, according to CNBC. It more or less looks like Uber built into the Google Maps app.

The new update also gets rid of one annoying feature - all the different auto options. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as though you can fully hail Lyft rides in-app for the time being. You should download the apps onto your mobile device and set them up before you try this, otherwise you'll have to perform more steps.
