Facebook is launching its own 360-degree video app on the Samsung Gear VR - the first officially Facebook-branded VR social app released. That's important, because otherwise media organisations and "content creators" will shy away from the format.

Meanwhile, Vimeo today launched 360-deree video support, which makes Vimeo the "first major marketplace for creators to sell 360 videos" directly to their audiences, the site says.

So, how do you watch these 360 videos? These settings will be available to all of Vimeo's creators, who will also gain access to a "360 Video School" to learn the ins and outs of shooting and editing on 360-degree cameras. You can, of course, view on mobile or desktop by dragging the video to change your perspective, but if you've got a VR headset, you may as well go all in.

Once you boot up the Facebook 360 app, you'll see a grand total of four different feeds.

However, things are still very much in Madrid's hands: they're just a point adrift of their Catalan rivals with a game in hand. Zidane believes the players are paying the price for a slow start in recent matches, having lost last month away at Valencia.

Videos can be watched on the web, as well as the Vimeo app on your smartphone, Samsung GearVR, Zeiss VR One, and Google Daydream.

As with other video platforms, you can move your phone around to look through the 360 video, or click and drag your mouse on a computer, but Vimeo adds a nice touch in allowing you to simply look around with your keyboard as well. Vimeo has launched Vimeo 360, a new hub that will spotlight 360-degree filmmaking while offering numerous creative resources to its users.

Since adding support in 2015, more than 1 million 360 videos and 25 million 360 photos have been published on the social network, but it can be hard to find them amid all the other media. "We believe Vimeo creators are the missing piece to taking 360 video from nascent to mainstream".
