Bengals 9 for 9 NFL Draft Series: Haason Reddick

There might not be another player heading into the NFL Draft that has gained more late momentum than Temple linebacker Haason Reddick. He played defensive end in college but will take that skill and use it at linebacker.

Reddick was third in the nation in tackles for loss with 22 ½, including 10 ½ sacks.

Arians coached the Owls' first two first-round picks in program history - offensive lineman John Rienstra, who was selected ninth in 1986, and running back Paul Palmer, who was the 19th overall pick in 1987.

"I have the mindset that whenever I go out on the field I'm dominating whoever's in front of me", Reddick said. Most likely, Reddick is part of the coming rebuild the Cardinals will face in 2018 and beyond. It also has relationships with six teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. He went to the Senior Bowl and showed he could play off the ball.

"They left the guy we wanted (Reddick) on the board", Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said.

Vettel takes pole position for Russian Grand Prix
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff said after this month's Bahrain grand prix that Vettel's victories could force a strategy rethink. Sainz, however, will drop three-places after picking up a penalty for his clash with Lance Stroll in Bahrain last time out.

Reddick's 2016 film featured opportunities for him to play off the ball and with a good deal of consistency, Reddick would rally to ball carriers and find alleys to shoot when attacking the football. That cost Reddick's mother almost $100,000 in tuition to keep him in school until receiving a scholarship his senior season. Reddick has now been labeled as a first round pick and many have him going top fifteen. Meanwhile, despite the mixed reaction Barnett said he was encouraged and excited to get going in Philadelphia.

The Camden, N.J. native, who starred at nearby Temple University, received a thunderous roar from the thousands of fans outside the draft stage on Benjamin Franklin Parkway when National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell called his name Thursday night. "It was a mystery the last couple of weeks", Trubisky said.

Assuming Reddick is a 4-3 outside linebacker, the Bengals ideally don't need him since they have high hopes on Vigil and will make every effort to re-sign Burfict.

The Cardinals had the 6-foot-1, 234-pound Reddick ranked in their top-5 of best available players.

"This is my, I don't know, 26th Draft - God, I'm getting old - and it wasn't always like this", he said. If Reddick struggles with key reads or processing movements at the line of scrimmage as an inside linebacker, it's entirely possible he never becomes more than a sub-package player in the NFL. Reddick was given a single-digit number for Temple, which are reserved for the toughest players.
