Prey's Demo Is Finally Available, but Not for PC

While Prey itself is set to release across PC, PS4 and Xbox One, only the latter two platforms will receive the demo for unnamed reasons, which now has a lot of people wondering if Bethesda and Arkane Studios are covering up a bad PC port.

Prey is being treated as a full reboot for the IP, taking very little inspiration from the first title. Morgan is mankind's last hope to, as the consequences should the Typhon reach Earth, could be catastrophic.

There's still no word on when or if there might be a demo on PC, but Bethesda did announce the official PC system requirements today.

Opening Hour, the demo focuses on the game's first hour and allows the player to choose between a female or male version of the antagonist, Morgan Yu.

Opening Hour is available now on Xbox One and PS4, and you can check it out in the gameplay trailer below. Recommended specifications, meanwhile, are an Intel i7-2600K or AMD FX-8350 CPU, a GTX 970 4GB or AMD R9 290 4GB GPU, and 16 GB of RAM. Morgan's first day on the ship Talos I goes off the rails when aliens known as the Typhon take over the ship and begin killing the crew.

According to the report, players who have pre-ordered the PS4 version of Bethesda's "Prey" will be available for pre-load in North America starting on April 28, at 12 am EST.

Anyway, the game is set to launch on May 5th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
