Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff Will Reunite And Perform This Summer

Will and Jeff were last seen in the United Kingdom performing together on The Graham Norton Show, in 2013, where Will was promoting his and son Jaden Smith's movie After Earth.

According to a post on Facebook, Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff will also perform at the LIVEWIRE Festival 2017 in Blackpool, England the following day (27Aug17).

Look, fingers crossed we'll be able to party to Summertime live in Australia sometime soon.

A reunion between DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince (Will Smith) has been on the cards for while, after Will teased a 2017 reunion back in 2015, but we didn't know exactly when it would be.

DJ Jazzy Jeff, real name Jeff Townes, confirmed the news on Twitter, posting an old video of the pair performing together with the message "And THIS IS HAPPENING!" In 1989, the group received a GRAMMY Award for Best Rap Performance for their hit "Parents Just Don't Understand".

They reunited for The Graham Norton Show and rapped the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air theme song alongside Alfonso Ribeiro who did his Carlton Dance with Will's son, Jaden Smith. Summertime, which peaked at No.8, and Boom!

Smith and Jeff continued to collaborate until Smith's career as a movie star took off in 1994.

The duo released five albums altogether, with their last record, Code Red, released in 1993.
