It was believed this would be Marvel Studios' first flop.

Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) is known to say exactly what's on his mind in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Instead, it was based on a cult comic with foul-mouthed space raccoons, green-skinned ladies, and talking plants.

We're thankful for your support in every way.

Enter Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the follow-up to the immensely successful first film that shocked audiences when it took the world by storm back in 2014. We're told in the first film that Yondu kidnapped Peter Quill off Earth - the planet the Ravagers call "Terra" - and chose to force him into the brotherhood. The Guardians have become famous for the defeat of Ronin, and they offer their services to the highest bidder.

The opening scene does not fail to introduce action right away as the team comes together to protect the Sovereign race's energy source.

This happens to ELO's "Mr. It's going to be a real fun ride with Baby Groot".

Atletico's much-hyped defense failed in the first leg, and now it's up to the offense to try to get the team back on its feet. We are the opposite, physically we are very strong and that is good news for the end of the season, he said ominously.

All of our favorite characters return. A few new faces pop up-a slightly on the nose empath with antennae named Mantis (Pom Klementieiff) and an aptly named Celestial named Ego (Kurt Russell). These elements that give the film a surprising emotional weight by exploring the theme of family in a sci-fi superhero setting. The focus is put on strengthening the bonds between the characters, rather than simply making them tolerate each other.

"I'm excited by the possibility of doing more stuff with that particular set of characters", Gunn told BuzzFeed.

"I call this scene North by Northwest because it is referencing the great Hitchcock film, the crop duster scene in that movie", Gunn says in voiceover.

Stakar, of course, refers here to the fireworks display we see at the end of Guardians Vol 2.

The Sony TPS-L2 Walkman, the cassette player used by Chris Pratt's character Star-Lord in Marvel's smash hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now selling for hundreds of dollars on Ebay. Where the first film had to set up a team dynamic, this film just enforces it. Writer Al Ewing is one of my favorite writers at Marvel now, with his cosmic team of the Ultimates being a particular favorite. So, I can't fault the movie for having a weak story line, even if it does beat the family drum quite a lot. The larger, complex organization of space pirates that makes up the Ravagers is an invention of the Marvel cinematic universe; in the comics, the "Ravagers" are simply Yondu's band of criminals. Everything is a set-up for future stories, everything hangs on the previous story, and the only way to understand what's happening from movie to movie is to buy the previous issue. Do you agree or disagree with me?

Unlike many former WWE talents, Bautista has never been shy of expressing his issues with the company, as shown in this tweet from May previous year. Not only do each of the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy have something unique to contribute to the team, but the main antagonist of these movies has abilities that are mostly different from the Guardians.
