Miley Cyrus releases lo-fi ballad, departing from previous sound

It's been two long years since Miley Cyrus released her album "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz" in 2015.

The former Hannah Montana (2006-11) star released her new pop single, "Malibu", on May 11, 2017-and it's giving us major beach vibes.

"I don't think those people are going to listen to me when I'm sitting there in nipple pasties, you know?" she told Billboard of the new Miley era. "So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, "This is how I feel"?"

The song, about on-again fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth, reflects on their relationship.

And fans are reacting well to the change, with the Twittesphere showing her major love. "She's firing off all cylinders", Billy Ray gushed. There's an air of freshness as we cannot only see a mature Miley singing her heart out but also hear her sound oh-so-good!

Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes, waffles, French toast recalled The Associated Press
Among those being recalled are the "lil' Griddlers" pancakes, French toast and sausage meals and several lines of waffles. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.

"Miley Cyrus is and always has been an artist that makes an impact".

If you look closely at her looks, each outfit change is reminiscent of Miley's romantic floor-length beach dresses from her "When I Look At You" music video.

"I'd be here writing this song/ But here I am, next to you/ The sky's more blue in Malibu", she continues. It's probably one of the more uplifiting records I have heard from her in a while.

The real kicker, though, comes at the end of the clip, when 12-year-old Miley is asked whether she's signed to a music label yet.

Her song reflects her love with Hemsworth and surprises us all with a more pure and lively way of singing that she strayed away from in the past.
