Partly cloudy, a few scattered afternoon showers Sunday

Temperatures will be a cooler with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Readings reach the lower to middle 60s. A high near the record of 89 Southwest breeze 5-10 miles per hour.

A few spotty showers and storms remain possible Wednesday as the warm front moves out but the low pressure system associated with it moves closer to the commonwealth. May even see some upper 30s in some inland locations. The wind and the clouds in afternoon will make it feel a bit on the chilly side. Then a rain chance returns Monday night into Tuesday.

For Sunday, clouds will increase and temperatures will drop to mainly the 70s. We are forecasting partly sunny skies for Thursday and highs in the middle 60s. These rain and thunderstorm chances will stick with us again throughout much of the latter half of this week with another cool down coming. The average temperature in Windsor Locks was 53.4 degrees, which is 4.0 degrees warmer than normal. As of now, Mother's Day is looking mostly dry with highs in the lower 70s. Highs will be in the 70's and 80's.Winds will be from the south and southeast at around 5-15 miles per hour, a little breezier for the plains.
