Reliance JioFiber Preview Offer launched in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad and more

To recall, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd, said during the annual general meeting that it is committed to launching FTTH (fibre to the home) service, which would be capable of delivering a broadband speed up to 1Gbps.

Following a deep impact in the telecom market, it seems that the home broadband market (fibre-to-the-home (FTTH)) should get ready to face aggressive competition from Reliance JIo. Under the complementary plan, the JioFibre broadband services will give a blazing speed of 100 Mbps, along with 100 GB of free data every month, in addition to free access to Jio premium applications.

The customer care of Reliance Jio in the official twitter account posted that they are holding the trial of their FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) services in the cities Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Delhi-NCR, Jamnagar, Surat as a reply to a query.

Moreover, the report mentioned that voice revenue per minute is likely to drop 8% on increased promotional offers to match RJio's price plans and unfavorable mix of incoming/outgoing minutes due to RJio's free offering.

Mumbai-based Digisol believes that the consumer segment was swayed after the Jio's ambitious launch. As of now the Reliance Jio fiber services are only available in few states of India as a trial run but it will full-fledged start by June in all over India.

Pricing details aren't out yet, but the reports claim that the users would be required to shell out Rs 4500 as a one time charge, which is refundable, if the customer decides to cancel subscription. Post 100 GB data cap users will continue to get 1 Mbps speed.Sources said that Jio will offer complimentary access to Jio Fibre services for 90 days. The Fiber Internet service will be coupled with other Jio services, including a set-top box.

In a bid to further grow its customer base, Reliance Jio had last week launched a plan offering customers JioFi 4G router in exchange for old data card, dongle or hotspot router. In October 2016, Reliance Jio came in existence and since then it has catered the huge market of Telecom sector.
