In a statement Friday, she said "I'll be returning to the incredibly courageous city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families". In total, 17 warrants have also been issued mainly across Greater Manchester.

In Hull US star Katy Perry will perform amid tight security at Radio 1's Big Weekend, while in Manchester armed officers will patrol The Courteeners' concert at Old Trafford cricket ground, where fans were warned extra security checks will be in place.

Britain is still looking for other suspects in the May 22 bombing at an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people.

Soldiers have been deployed on the streets and police presence has increased since the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena that left 22 people dead.

British police on Saturday released surveillance-camera images of the Manchester concert bomber on the night of the attack as they appealed for more information about his final days.

The operation in the early hours of Saturday morning brings the number of suspects being held in custody to 11.

"As part of an ongoing search at a property in Moss Side an evacuation is now being carried in the area", police said in a statement.

One search was at an apartment in a Manchester high-rise that British media say was rented by Abedi in the months before the attack.

A thousand people are involved in the investigation to Abedi's network. The explosion killed 22 people - including seven children under 18 - and injured more than 100. "There will be more arrests and there will be more searches", he said.

"The operation is still at full tilt", Home Secretary Amber Rudd said. The troops will gradually be withdrawn beginning Monday, she said.

Amid the hunt for Abedi's possible accomplices in the United Kingdom, his father and one of his brother's, Hashim, were arrested in Tripoli, Libya Wednesday. The straps of a knapsack are visible on his shoulders.

Authorities are appealing for more information about his final days.

"We are gathering a detailed picture of Abedi as the investigation develops and now need people to tell us if they have any information about his movements from 18 May when he returned to the United Kingdom through to Monday night", the police said in a statement.

Security remained high at major events across Britain on Sunday, including the Great Manchester Run road race, where police armed with submachine guns protected participants and spectators.

"I'll be returning to the incredibly courageous city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester". "They picked the wrong people to mess with this time".

The government is facing criticism after acknowledging that Abedi was on security services' radar, but wasn't a major focus of investigation.

Rudd said Sunday that intelligence agencies were monitoring 3,000 suspected extremists and had a wider pool of 20,000 people of interest.

"But I would not rush to conclusions, as you seem to be, that they have somehow missed something". All are men, aged between 18 and 44.

"I wish I could say that Georgina is one of the last to die in this way but unless our government opens its eyes we know we are only another in a long line of parents on a list that continues to grow", the family said in a statement released through Greater Manchester Police.
