British police respond to incidents at several locations; multiple casualties reported

It was first thought that he was scooped in Vauxhall, where Met Police reported an incident just minutes after nearby London Bridge was struck by a van and knife assault.

More than one person was killed when a van mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge late Saturday, British police said.

BBC reporter Holly Jones, who was there at the time of the incident, said she saw a van driven by a man travelling "at about 50 miles (80 kilometres) an hour".

She said she saw at least four or five people on the ground.

Also Saturday, two men entered a restaurant at Borough Market, just south of the Bridge, and stabbed two people inside, a witness told CNN on Saturday.

The incidents in London come less than two weeks after 22 people were killed in the northern city of Manchester when a suicide-bomber detonated explosives as fans were leaving a concert by pop singer Ariana Grande.

She added that she saw a man, who had his shirt off and was in handcuffs, being arrested by police. Some media reports said police were seeking another attacker.

A short time later, police received reports of stabbings in the nearby Borough Market.Officers fired shots, although authorities declined to provide additional information on the reported attack.

One witness said she saw three people with what appeared to be their throats cut on London Bridge amid the "utter chaos". "I froze beacause I didn't know what to do", Mark Roberts, a 53-year-old management consultant, told Reuters. Police tweeted that Londoners should "remain calm but be alert and vigilant".

On Tuesday, Trump met a key voice advocating for withdrawal, Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt. An overwhelming majority of scientists the human use of fossil fuels for energy is driving climate change.

He told Sky News: "It was about 10.15pm I was in the back of an Uber cab driving over London Bridge.there was somebody down on the pavement with a small crowd around them clearly very concerned".

One eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous told MailOnline: "I was in Arabica restaurant with a friend in borough market". We went towards Borough Market and everyone went inside (the bar).

- London Bridge was closed in both directions.

Trains are now not stopping at London Bridge or Borough stations.

Police treated injured on the bridge, buildings in the area were evacuated and subway stations in the area shut down. Three major London hospitals said that they were on lockdown to keep patients and staff safe.

LANGFITT: Absolutely, and I think that coming - three incidents like this, you know, there was a long stretch where London did not face big sort of terrorist attacks.
