The phone was earlier reported to be launched alongside Moto Z2 Force, but that didn't happen. It only has a 2,730 mAh, against the Moto Z Force's 3,500 mAh capacity. Complaints aside, the Moto Z2 Force is slim and shatter-proof.

There are a few omissions as well. The date of launch of Moto Z2 Force Edition for the Indian market has not been announced as of now. All other Moto Mods will become available soon to Verizon customers, the operator said.

The Moto Z2 Force Edition is a tough smartphone as it is made from 7000 series aluminium.

The back has metal finish and the front in all glass affair. Ditching the headphone jack seems to be a growing trend among smartphone makers ever since Apple released its iPhone 7 without a 3.5mm jack, but not all consumers are happy about this.

As speculated in the past, the phone runs on Qualcomm's flagship processor of the year, the Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone will ship with Bluetooth 4.2 but will be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.0 when Android O arrives. It has Android Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised update to Android. To qualify for BOGO offer, you have to purchase Moto Z2 Force through 24 months Equipment Installment Plans (EIP). If you a resident of U.S., you are in for a disappointment as the battery has taken a 22% hit - while the Moto Z Force came with a 3,500mAh battery, the Z2 Force comes with a 2,730mAh unit. While the phone offered an impressive 3500mAh battery last year, this year it has been brought down to just 2750mAh. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash.

While both models rely on a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, the Moto Z2 Play's offers only 1920 x 1080 resolution.

But it also includes Motorola's ShatterShield technology, with the Lenovo subsidiary promising that the screen won't break. The phone has a built-in Plastic OLED display gives it more durable body. The two cameras also allow you take pictures with depth of field effects. On the front, there is a 5MP sensor for selfies. The phone will be backed by a 3GB of RAM, the listing further reveals.

Motorola has launched its new flagship device - the Moto Z2 Force Edition at a price of $720.

With the Moto Z2 Force, Motorola has introduced one more Moto Mod - the 360-degree Camera Mod.

One of the major features of the camera mod is that it is capable of capturing 150-degrees of video when using only one lens which means selfies are a breeze with everyone fitted into it no matter where they are standing. It is available for 299 dollars.

Aside from the absence of a headphone jack that still sticks out here, the Moto Z2 Force Edition has the same modular design as the Moto Z. The rear of the phone is based around a circular camera module and connector pins for users to magnetically attach mods to the device.

The Moto Z2 Force phones are available in Black or Gold colors.
