Suspected gunman killed after injuring multiple people at New York City hospital

There was no word on their conditions. The suspect was believed to be armed and on an upper floor.

In 2011, two people were shot at Bronx Lebanon in what police said was a gang-related attack.

A law enforcement official told the AP news agency that the gunman, Henry Bello, used to work at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.

Three doctors were among the injured, the New York Times reported, citing a NY Fire Department official.

Those wounded were said to be on the 16th and 17th floors.

Authorities were called to the home at about 4 p.m. when the mother said she had discovered them unresponsive in the vehicle . She acknowledged going back into the home west of Fort Worth, smoking marijuana and then napping for two or three hours.

Police swarmed the hospital searching for an assailant, the New York Daily News said.
