Monday forecast: Unseasonably cool with low humidity

Low humidity and still air have allowed for temperatures to tumble quite a bit in non-urban, non-coastal areas of the state. Humidity remains fairly low, so heat index values shouldn't be too much of an issue. Lows will drop into the low 60s with winds out of the west at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Highs will be in the mid 80s on both days. Friday starts with mostly sunny skies and then clouds increase late in the day.

We enjoyed a taste of early fall over the weekend, and the nice weather will continue into the work week.

Summer showers and t'storms develop during the afternoon on Thursday as the atmosphere becomes more favorable for activity. Highs rise into the upper 80s with a few locations touching 90 degrees south and low to mid 80s north.

European Union condemns US Congress new sanctions against Russian Federation
It would double Russia's capacity of 55 billion cubic metres of gas now being sent through the existing Nord Stream pipeline. Sanctions against North Korea and Iran are included in the measure. "Unilateral measures would undermine this", it notes.

The front will pass through New England by Saturday night, which will allow for clearing skies and temperatures falling back into the middle 60s. High temperatures will be in the middle and upper 80s with the clouds and the chance for rain.

Wednesday: Sunny, hot and humid with the chance for an afternoon shower/thunderstorm. The weather will stay mostly sunny with relatively low humidity Monday.
