Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is set to clinch a move to Antalyaspor after it emerged that he was no longer part of Pep Guardiola's plans.

The former French global joined City from Arsenal in 2011 and helped them win two Premier League titles and two League Cups.

City had hoped to recoup around £12million for the 30-year-old, who had also attracted interest from Nice, but offers have centred mainly around loans before they accepted a cut-price £8m fee.

"Our club has signed a two-year contract with midfielder Samir Nasri in concluding an agreement with Manchester City", said a statement on the official Antalyaspor website.

Tit for tat, Erdogan tells German Turks to vote against 'aggressive' parties
Erdogan issued his call in televised comments to reporters in Istanbul after Friday prayers. He fled Turkey in 1991 and settled in Germany.

"I want thank every single person I worked with during my time at Man City, thank you".

"And a special thank you to the fans for this unbelievable support during those years".

The Frenchman enjoyed a great start to his City career, clinching two Premier League titles in his first three seasons at the club. A big thank you as well to the medical staff and backroom staff for everything.

The player will link up with former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o at Antalyaspor, who now captains the side.
