"Met Vice President & gave in writing that we have elected RCP Singh as our leader in Rajya Sabha", state JD-U president Vashishtha Narayan Singh was quoted as telling news agency ANI.

"Kumar will take a call on joining the country's ruling alliance this month itself", a senior party leader said.

Mr Tyagi said Rajya Sabha MP Ali Anwar Ansari was removed from the JD (U) parliamentary party because of "anti-party" activities.

If Kumar joins the NDA, then some of his party's lawmakers could get cabinet berths in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government. "There is no split in JD (U) as such". They have reposed their faith in the chief minister and JD (U) president Nitish Kumar. Speculations are rife that Yadav might join hands with bete noir-turned-ally Lalu Prasad, by either splitting JD (U) or forming his own party.

"We are the real one as we are still with the principles of the JD-U, but they have changed and become BJD-U", he added, in a jibe at the Nitish Kumar faction which has sided with the BJP to form the government in Bihar. The invitation was extended to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a meeting of the two leaders.

He went home and called his parents from the front of their house because he didn't want to track blood inside, he said. Walker-Smith suggested some sea fleas might inject an anticoagulant into their food to prevent blood clotting.

Hitting out at Bitish, Anwar said that people who brought the party to its glory were being "removed" from party posts.

Ansari said that everyone, be it opposition parties, social leaders or anyone with human values, should unite against the "divisive forces" (BJP and RSS). "I am confident that he will handle the situation and ensure neutralising Yadav's revolt in the party without causing any more damage to it", Prakash added.

Attacking Sharad Yadav who has planned a show of strength in New Delhi on August 17, Tyagi said, "Sharad Yadav has shot an arrow in the dark".

He said, "As far as Yadav talking to Shahabuddin and Nitish talking to Anant Singh goes, Singh was not an inmate of a jail and was Nitish's MLA".

The Sharad Yadav faction on Sunday claimed that it has support of JDU's 14 state units, ahead of the party's national executive next weekend to formally join the NDA.
