Oddsmakers there lowered the lopsided odds favoring Mayweather from minus-600 to minus-550 because they will be fighting with smaller gloves.

Earlier in August, the NAC, who sanctioned the contest, told BBC Sport they could not recall a fight at 154lbs ever being given dispensation to make such a move.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission ruling on gloves added a dimension that the fight is a sanctioned boxing match, in addition to a made-for-whatever-goes Vegas event, and that McGregor was coming to the ring as a boxer, not a UFC mixed martial arts cage fighter.

Its promoters will have five days after Sunday's total eclipse of the sun to turn attention back to their August 26 boxing match between unbeaten boxing champ Floyd Mayweather and pro cage fighter Conor McGregor. The 8-ounce gloves certainly help because it is less padding that in turn makes punches more effective.

He revealed he has been conducting "scary" training sessions at 13,000ft in an altitude chamber and stated he feels in "absolutely amazing" condition for the T-Mobile Arena bout. He has certain advantages over Floyd with respect to age, energy, and power. "We are excited to cater to this demand all over the world and be a meaningful part of the next-generation fitness experience, all under the banner and guidance of the most dominant boxer of all time".

Premier League plan to close transfer window early
The change will not apply to Football League clubs and other European leagues, while the January transfer window would remain unaffected.

"I'm going down in the history books Conan, that's the only going down I am."

On why he considers himself such: "The current UFC (featherweight) champion is Max Holloway, a man I dismantled". I know there's talk of an interim belt. "I look forward to going back and continuing where I left off".

A big change has been announced for the hyped Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor megafight.

The 23-year-old star has been spending a lot of time at attending services at Hillsong Church lately, but insists he is not thinking about starting up his own religious establishment and doesn't now have any plans in place to work with any church-goers on new music. "There's a big list of people who want to fight me".
