In a statement before the event, Pelosi said that "following the Trump Administration's reckless decision to end the DACA initiative, communities across the country have joined together to advocate for protections for patriotic and courageous Dreamers".

It's been a long eight months in the wilderness for Democrats, but if any two were going to find their way back to the action it was Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his House counterpart, Nancy Pelosi.

Barbara Lee, D-Calif., and Jared Huffman, D-Calif., struggled to speak over chants of "all 11 million", a reference to the estimated total number of undocumented immigrants now in the country. But the legislation is now the central part of an anticipated agreement between Trump and Democratic congressional leaders that would couple the bill with unspecified plans to bolster security along the U.S. -Mexico border.

The Democrats say a deal has been reached, but the White House denies it. DACA has been controversial since former President Barack Obama implemented the policy because of questions regarding its constitutionality. They were looking for ways to "build some trust and confidence" with Trump, Pelosi, D-Calif., said in an interview Friday. "It is unconscionable that we would accept any deal that essentially trades our safety for that of the safety of our family members and neighbors", Itzel Guillen, who works with the Southern Border Communities Coalition, said in a statement.

The new TV is powered by the new A10X processor, the same chip that powers iPad Pro for a clear 4K HDR experience with 3GB RAM. The support for both HDR10 and Dolby Vision is a welcome addition - as this opens up the device to a wider array of movies.

Pelosi left the news conference after trying to wait out the shouting for more than a half hour. "We demand accountability. Democrats are not the resistance of Trump".

"You've had your say, and it's attractive music to our ears", Pelosi said.
