New Hampshire's biggest hospital under lockdown after reports of active shooter

"Lebanon and New Hampshire State police have been alerted and are on-site".

A person has been taken into custody in connection to reports of an active shooter at New Hampshire's largest hospital.

Lora Charbonneau said she and her husband, who is an officer, were on their way to Dartmouth-Hitchcock to see his mother when they got a call about an active shooter and lockdown at the hospital.

According to a staff alert from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the campus is now under a code silver. There is no confirmation that shots have been fired, though employees have been told to either evacuate or shelter in place.

Lebanon police said they are still securing the area to make sure there are no further hazards after responding to reports of an active shooter at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Reports from the area indicate that heavily armed police are on scene outside the hospital.
