George Clooney turned out to launch the latest film he directed Suburbicon in Los Angeles on Sunday amid an ongoing issue in Hollywood about sexual harassment of women.

A-listers Matt Damon, George Clooney and Julianne Moore didn't shy away from questions about the scandal at the premiere of their movie "Suburbicon" in Westwood.

Two weeks after proclaiming that he had no idea that Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted women, Matt Damon claimed that everybody knew that Harvey Weinstein was an "asshole" and a bully, but not everybody knew about the sexual assault accusations that have recently become public knowledge. And I knew he was a womanizer. I wouldn't want to be married to the guy. but this level of criminal sexual predation is not something that I ever thought was going on.

"I didn't necessarily believe him, quite honestly, because to believe would be to believe the worst of some actresses who were friends of mine", Clooney admitted.

Clooney noted that he similarly had an inkling of Weinstein's alleged behavior around women based on conversations he had with the mogul.

He said it was "beyond infuriating" that the disgraced producer had been "out there silencing women like that" and vowed that there "has to be a comeuppance" to prevent this from happening to others.

According to the story, Pitt, Paltrow's then-boyfriend, confronted Weinstein after the alleged incident. "The fact that the story is coming out now and the more it comes out, I want know all of it", he said.

Iran says it has the right to nuclear energy and insists its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes only. However, he threatened to "shred" the agreement if the United States pulled out, state TV reported.

'I wanted it to be entertaining, wanted it to be fun... and if along the way people want to talk about it great, that's what you hope for'.

Damon said he never saw Weinstein do anything himself, because it always happened behind closed doors. "And if there was a newspaper of a website that had this information that investigated it, I'd like to see how much ad money they got from Miramax or from the Weinstein Company".

"That was his legend; that was his whole M.O.: Could you survive a meeting with Harvey?".

The LA Times says 38 women have come forward with horrific stories about writer-director James Toback.

"He bought Good Will Hunting, he bought it in 1997, I did five movies in quick succession, he signed me up for a three-picture deal". Ben told me, but I knew that they had come to whatever agreement or understanding they had come to. Damon worked with Paltrow and Weinstein on "The Talented Mr. Ripley" in 1999.

Damon and Affleck have both come under fire for their close ties to Weinstein in the fallout of the scandal.
