The play occurred late in the third quarter on a third-down play, with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky lofting a pass to Miller in the right side of the end zone.

As Miller caught the pass, he landed awkwardly on his leg, suffering a gruesome-looking injury. In December of 2013 he was signed to the Chicago Bears where he has remained since.

That wasn't the only injury problem the Bears were dealing with in their 20-12 loss.

The Saints had difficulty moving the ball against the Bears' defense in the first half, but running back Alvin Kamara scored from 8 yards out on their first possession to take a 7-0 lead. The scoring drive was setup by a Drew Brees to Brandon Coleman 54-yard connection.
