Shin Megami Tensei 5 is heading to the Nintendo Switch this fall

Atlus officially announced today that Shin Megami Tensei V will be coming to Switch.

At the moment, nothing else has been shared, besides the fact that the game is for Nintendo Switch.

The trailer gives us a first glimpse at the main characters.

This is the first time in over 10 years that a numbered title will appear on a home console; the last of which was Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne way back during the PlayStation 2 days. Even though a new Shin Megami Tensei title can be found on all "most anticipated Nintendo Switch titles" we had nearly no idea as to what it will be.

The game's development had been announced at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 event back in January, as a project to celebrate the Shin Megami Tensei's 25th anniversary. Fans may recognize the corpses of many staple monsters from the series. Fortunately, if you played Persona 5 then you may some idea of what the series is about since it borrowed several elements from the SMT, such as Psy and Nuke spells, as well as demon negotiation.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Shen Megami Tensei, it's from Atlas, the same company that produces the popular Persona franchise.
