"Star Wars" icon Harrison Ford became a real hero yet again Sunday when he stepped in to help a woman whose vehicle had run off the road in California.

Harrison Ford has once again shown his real-life hero credentials after helping to rescue a woman following a vehicle crash in California. Ford was reportedly traveling behind her and immediately pulled over to lend assistance.

Harrison Ford helped rescue a driver who veered off the highway Sunday morning.

"He acted as a good Samaritan, just like everybody else, and tried to help before emergency services arrived", he said.

Cleveland hosts annual Veterans Day parade
Since Veterans Day is on a Saturday this year, many events are being held on Friday - with some continuing throughout the weekend. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and November 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938.

Sources confirmed to multiple outlets that the woman was transported away from the auto crash scene with only minor injuries.

It is not the first time life has imitated art for Ford, famous for his heroic roles as Indiana Jones and Han Solo in Star Wars.

This isn't the first time that the actor has shown quick-thinking and a willingness to help others in potentially risky situations. It also had to be quite the shocking experience for the driver; you were just in a auto accident and your adrenaline is probably through the roof, and then you see Harrison Ford has come to your rescue. Ford and others managed to get the unidentified driver out of the vehicle.
