Todd Palin said he told Track Palin not to come but that his son said he would come anyway to beat him up. At one point, he got onto the garage roof before eventually being detained, the court filing says. "They come back hardened", Sarah Palin said.

But Track Palin caught his father by surprise when he broke through a window and managed to wrestle him to the ground.

Track Palin, the oldest son of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was arraigned Sunday after being arrested a day earlier on charges of domestic violence. "They ask that the privacy of the family be respected during this challenging situation as it would be requested by other people who care for a family member in distress". Track, according to the police officer who wrote the court document, then threatened to go to the house and assault his father.

As of Monday morning, Palin is still in custody at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, He was charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault. He plead guilty to the misdemeanor charge of possessing a firearm while intoxicated, and the other charges were dismissed. The burglary charge indicates that Palin was attempting to "cause or attempt to cause physical injury to a person", according to the court records.

Sarah Palin served as Alaska governor from 2006 to 2009 and was the Republican vice presidential nominee in the 2008 election. She said her son came back "different" after his year-long deployment in Iraq.
