Springfield firefighters extinguish Christmas Eve kitchen fire

Pembroke Fire, Fort Campbell Fire and Oak Grove Fire departments all responded.

Ten people have been displaced after a fire at a Phoenix apartment complex on Monday morning. Firefighters found heavy fire in that person's apartment.

A structure fire on Edgewater Road in the South End on Christmas Eve forced two adults out of their home, the Greater Sudbury Fire department reports.

Fire officials were investigating whether a Christmas tree was to blame for the fire at the Irving house. It took about 24 firefighters to put out the flames.

Several people were hospitalized with smoke inhalation.

There seem to be revisions to the metallic trim, and a new design around the base of the transmission shifter. In its place is a more traditional setup without the thin daytime running lights.


The Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department Auxilliary quickly stepped in and still needs donations for the McGar family.

Further, the blaze left the home "uninhabitable", gutting the second floor and causing extensive damage to the first floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

CMPD says both trailers are destroyed and Red Cross is assisting in housing one of the families.
