To the surprise of absolutely no one, Coming Soon reports that Netflix has renewed Stranger Things for a third season.

Netflix announced the renewal on Twitter, confirming that we'll be revisiting Eleven and the gang, as well as the series' new big bad, the Mind Flayer.

It also cemented the superstar status of its cast, featuring Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.

No date was given for the season three premiere. So hold tight baby darts - Season 3 is officially happening.

Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Wins Miss Universe 2017
Nel-Peters, who recently earned a business management degree, showed that she is a combination of beauty, grace and brains. Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was declared the victor and Miss Colombia Laura González Ospina, first runner up.

The Duffer Brothers had previously talked about a third season in various interviews, saying they had already started working on it.

Stranger Things' second season debuted at the end of October and was met with critical praise. "We're excited [to] spend more time with Max and develop her in a way...we're sort of scratching the surface on this season of what I think she's capable of".

Stranger Things has the ability, and maybe even the duty to explore other places and characters set within the nostalgic universe of the show. Our money's on exactly one year, just like season two. "They're going to have to get the fuck out of this town!" said Ross.

"Stranger Things" is also a critical favorite, and it won five Emmys earlier this year following 18 nominations. Like the first season, it has a almost flawless rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and some fans even said the second season was much better than the first. Once we had the Snow Ball, we didn't know [if we wanted to do] anything else as an ending.
