If anything else, it will underline just how fast the news (good and bad, but mostly bad) came this year and how comedians like Chappelle are responding in kind.

"And I'm standing there thinking in my mind, you dumb motherf--er". You'll either catch a classic or be surprised by a deep cut you haven't thought about in forever, like "Wrap It Up". I didn't see one deplorable face in that group. Earlier in the week, Chappelle released the first clip from the special. His strongest fire is reserved for some of the people who helped elect Pres. Trump., but also for the rich people who he says take the country's poor white voters for granted. Trump released a new tax bill in recent weeks which would lower taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

The comedian starts off by saying that he has never had a problem with white people in his life, but "poor whites" are his least favorite kind because of all the trouble they're causing. "I stood with them in line [to vote]. and I listened to them say naive, poor white people things". Chappelle has slammed Mr. Trump in the past. "My parents did just well enough so I could grow up poor around white people", he says.

In the third salvo of this three-part Netflix comedy saga, titled Dave Chappelle: Equanimity, Chapelle treads controversial ground trying out his new anti-Trump material. "Poor. He's fighting for me.'" The audience roars into laughter. Many argue that the current tax plan, which was already in favor of corporations and wealthy Americans, will tilt the balance further in their favor and lead to income inequality.
