Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Keita from the Bundesliga club in the summer, but it has been claimed the Reds want to bring the transfer forward to this month's window.

Liverpool had tried to sign Naby Keita this month.

The Guinea global is a talented midfielder and Jurgen Klopp's side had to beat off competition from other elite clubs in order to sign him.

Speaking on Sky Sports News on Friday, Solhekol said: "Liverpool have money to spend after selling Philippe Coutinho and one option they're exploring is getting Naby Keita in this month instead of waiting until next summer".

Liverpool currently have a deal worth around £55million in place to sign the Guinea worldwide this summer but with Coutinho now gone, Klopp is said to be desperate to sign Keita now.

Indeed, there had been whispers that Saturday's clash with Schalke - a match that Keita actually scored in - would be his last before making his move to the Premier League.
