Now, the new 4G variant brings high-speed 4G connectivity, along with YunOS, which is a forked Android version made by China's Alibaba group. The new variant is listed on the company's official website with no information regarding the availability and pricing.

HMD unveiled its third version of the reborn Nokia 3310 – but this 4G model is an odd duck.

The global variant of the feature phone is expected to be showcased at MWC 2018 in March.

Nokia 3310 4G in two colour options: Fresh Blue and Deep Black. Above all, it also supports VoLTE as well as WiFi hotspot which is not present in the Jio Phone by Reliance Jio.

Now only being offered in China for a February release, the 4G LTE-enabled Nokia 3310 is an unusual version of the re-imagined classic phone as it runs YunOS. As far as Nokia 3310 4G is concerned, users can not get any of these apps. You also get a microSD card slot for up to 64GB expandable storage.

There's no word on how much the new Nokia 3310 will cost in China, though we don't expect it to be much more expensive than the 3310 remake released a year ago. It is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 256MB RAM, 512MB onboard storage.

With its unique design, and hopefully the inclusion of applications like WhatsApp and Facebook because of its move to the Android-based YunOs, the 4G ready 3310, if priced right, could serve as a brilliant alternative to the existing ultra-affordable 4G feature phones available in the smartphone market. It has 2 meapixels rear camera with LED flash. It also has a built-in voice assistant, a whole bundle of MyJio apps, connects to any TV, including old CRT TVs with JioPhone TV cable, and extremely affordable voice + data plan at just Rs 49 a month.

On the connectivity front, the Nokia 3310 4G variant comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
