Rain Moves Out Sunday, But More Is Coming For The Week Ahead

With more heavy rain expected and rivers and creeks already high, additional flooding is expected. The main threat with this system will be strong winds and heavy rain, but a spin up tornado or two can not be ruled out.

After a lovely day full of sunshine, and even record breaking heat yesterday, rain returns to the forecast today adn possibly a few thunderstorms. A Flood Watch is still in effect until early Sunday morning. Flash flooding is possible where rainfall rates are high during storms this evening. However, a Canadian high to our north is circulating some cooler air in from the northeast, which will likely prevent the warmer southern air from reaching the Lehigh Valley.

Look for a dry and sunny day on Tuesday before another storm arrives Wednesday through Thursday. "Notice the large area of rain covering our region.that rain could be heavy at times with the potential for 1" or more before all is said and done.

Tuesday Night.Partly cloudy. Tiny rain chance. Expect highs near 60 on Wednesday with lots of sun expected through Thursday. This afternoon, there may be an isolated storm or two, but best chances for thunderstorm activity is tonight.

And by mid-afternoon, we'll have temps in the 50s with full sunshine.
