Preferably, by next year, it would be a mode that other surviving versions of Windows 10 could work in. The new "S Mode" for Windows 10 will allow Microsoft to offer numerous same features as Windows 10 S without having to build and sell a separate line of products.

The end goal with this new platform inside of Windows 10 is two-pronged; make it easier to build high-quality apps for Windows but also to introduce developers to Azure's ML/AI capabilities.

MICROSOFT HAS confirmed rumours that its stripped-down UI will now be a "mode" rather than a separate operating system.

Around a year ago, Microsoft released their Windows 10 S operating system - meant to be a direct competitor to the Google Chrome Operating System.

Jerusalem's Holy Sepulchre reopens: 'This is a victory'
Rabbi Mordechai Persoff said that Trump, like Cyrus, made a "big declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of the holy people". The threat, according to Palestinian Media Watch , comes from Sheik Muhammad Hussein, the grand mufti of Jerusalem.

Introduced as a Chrome OS competitor, Windows 10 S was offered on low-cost machines by Microsoft and its OEM partners for as little as $189. It was clear that Microsoft was gunning for Google's position as the go-to device for the education market, although it appears that Windows 10 S didn't catch on well enough to warrant its own full operating system.

It's still unclear as to why this change is happening, though improving the ease of moving between Windows 10 S and regular Windows 10 isn't a bad idea.

The confirmation came via the tweet you see above by Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President in the Operating Systems Group at Microsoft. They need to clarify every single angle to the customers regarding the move, like specifically which devices will have the default enabling of S Mode, and so on. The biggest addition is tabs are now available in File Explorer, a highly-requested feature (more than 20,000 votes) and something Microsoft has resisted in Windows previously.

"We use Win10S as an option for schools or businesses that want the "low-hassle"/ guaranteed performance version", Belfiore said on Twitter. "Next year 10S will be a "mode" of existing versions, not a distinct version".
