WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy has been arrested for driving while impaired in Concord, N.C., after he crashed his auto. Along with his brother Matt, Jeff has wrestled professionally for more than two decades, starting with local wrestling in 1993 and signing with WWE in 1998.

According to PWInsider, Hardy has been hit with a 30 day pretrial revocation of his driver's license and is slated to appear in Cabarrus County Court on April 16th. Reports say Hardy had a blood alcohol content of 2.5, three times the legal limit.

The report says the vehicle caused an estimated $5,000 (£3,602) in damages to the guardrail, which was owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and around $8,000 (£5,764) worth of damage to his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. According to CBS Sports, the 40-year-old wrestler crashed his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan into a guardrail around 10:20 p.m. Saturday night, sliding for more than 100 feet before spinning out 90 degrees.

"Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions", WWE said in a statement. Hardy reportedly crashed his auto, and his BAC clocked in at three times the legal limit, which is .08 percent in North Carolina. Hardy was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with misdemeanor Driving While Impaired. That arrest came at his home in Cameron, and a search of the site turned up 262 Vicodin pills, 180 Soma pills, about half a liter of an unspecified anabolic steroid, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia, reported the News and Observer at the time.
